3Gs checked-in Jakarta + Bandung

After planning a trip to Jakarta - Bandung for 9 months (kalau preggie, dah beranak kot, hehehe), finally 9 of us dapat jugak jejakkan kaki ke Jakarta and Bandung for 5 days 4 nites.  3Gs  stands for 3 generations went for this awesome trip

1. My friend, Diyana and her family
   (her hubby, her little boy: sumpah he's an ADORABLE kid  that you must cubit his pipi ~ Zareef, her mother and mother-in-law), 
2. My young lovely aunt ~ Awin (as YOUNG as me, bajet young la kan :P), 
3. My friend ~ Danii, and...
4. Me n hubby!

The last trip to Bandung was in 2009.  The price of telekung, tunic tops, and most of the things lah have increased DOUBLE now.  But they're still way much cheaper than Malaysia.

These pics were taken at Jakarta.  My hubby dapat tangkap hasil yang sangat berbaloi - buat Nike spectacles with transition lenses that costs him only RM170.  Kalau kat Malaysia, you can only get it for RM400+ the cheapest.

Yang ni pulak still sekitar Jakarta.  Massive jam everywhere at Jakarta.  It took us 3-4 hours to reach town from airport.  We stopped by at Masjid Istiqlal (Masjid terbesar di Asia Tenggara) to pray.  We were so shocked by their culture.  Maybe ramai sangat population yg menyebabkan lelaki dan perempuan punya 'kamar kecil/kamar mandi' (toilet) bercampur.  Yeah, imagine how tough it was.  Mulalah rasa insaf dan bersyukur dgn Mosque and Surau yang clean and comfortable in bumi bertuah, Malaysia. 

Then we went to Plaza Indonesia. Motif? to buy the Hard Rock Jakarta T-Shirt. Itu perkara wajib, souvenir utk diri sendiri kalau pergi negara org! Kata hujan batu di negara orang, mestilah kene bawak balik baju  BATU keras kan... :P 

Plaza Indonesia is the high end shopping Mall at Jakarta.  The crowd is totally different from those yang you nampak kat sekitar Jakarta.  Semuanya like Beverly Hills kinda crowd.  Maybe Ashraf Sinclair or Safee Sali kita shopping kat situ kot.  Penat n lapa, singgah lah JCo Donut, makan donut and minum Avocado Chocolate Juice yg sangat sedap... Sampai skarang masih terasa kesedapannya! FULLY RECOMMENDED! *****!  

We stayed at Orange Homes. Masa mula2 sampai Orange Homes ni, rase betul2 homely.  The room's clean and comfortable. Walaupun simple tapi cukup facilities. Siap ade both 3 pin and 2 pin socket. Ade sejadah, aircond, hot water and iron room.  Kolam ikan with loads of gigantic Japanese Koi fish. Cantik, comfortable and cozy hotel!  Tapi kalau nak duduk sini, kene datang beramai2 at least four or five, sebab ia agak terpencil, susah nak cari public transport.  Kena ambik supir (driver) and sewa kereta/van. Breakfast was a bit salty but OK still boleh telan.  I love the coffee.  I quit taking coffee for quite a while now tapi kopi O Orange Homes sangatlah irresistable!

Dekat Bandung, sempat snapped only few pictures je sebab too busy doing shopping.  Motif datang Bandung memang SHOPPING kot! After pegi Factory Outlet along Jalan Riau, kitorg singgah jap minum kat sebelah Heritage FO. Apa lagi, ordered their famous Jus Alpokat - Avocado Juice... Hilang dahaga!

A MUST place to go at Bandung ~ Absolutely PASAR BARU. Rugi besar kalau tak pegi Pasar Baru.  Tak ada gambar langsung, sebab paling banyak 'investment' berlaku kat Pasar Baru ni.  I bought some telekung, some kain Japanese Cotton, tunic top, kain kebaya sulam, kain sulam and paling awesome - buat tailored Jeans for only RM62 with good quality of Denim and comfortable sangat!  Siap within only 2 days, delivered right to our hotel.

Ni masa pegi Strawberry Park.  It was a small strawberry park tak sebest Cameron Highlands la.  Again, rasa bersyukur that Malaysia has better strawberry park. :) I don't remember whether I have ever plucked strawberries all my life, sebab pegi dulu masetu kecik lagi... Tak ingat... So here, I got to pluck the strawberries fresh from pokok.  Sangat juicy and yummy! Now dah masuk dalam my favourite list... Alamak jenuhlah kena gi Cameron Highlands pulak lepas ni. :P

After asyik makan Nasi Padang je, we changed our selera to Masakan Sunda.  We went to Kampung Daun.  Very soothing restaurant that is located near streaming river and surrounded by nature.  It was beautiful.  The food presentation pun cantik.  I like this place. 3 of them including my hubby kena food poisoning and demam.  Diorang sampai boleh tidur nyenyak dalam pondok ni because it was windy and drizzly.

These pictures were taken on the last day at Orange Homes, Bandung.  It was really a trip to remember... The journey was quite tiring but it was much worth it!  Berapa kerugian?
       

TOTAL:  RM 3000 + for 2 of us termasuk flight, hotel, transportation, shopping allocation, F&B and souvenirs.

Nasib baiklah kitorang ada buat little savings each and every month to help us to go on this trip. Alhamdulillah... Murah sgt lah to compare with pegi Turkey yang flight and accommodation only dah RM4000 +. 

But then again it wasn't "kerugian" it was absolutely good investment for good things and great memories... Sampai my hubby tanya can we do it like an annual trip for us? Whoaaa... If only we could... *big grin...

So, I am planning to open another savings account just to save up for traveling since both of us LOVE traveling.
